Hello blog land!
I simply had to share a pic of what my garden gave me this morning. I love tomatoes so very much, and LOVE to grow heirloom varieties, to me they are beautiful to look at, and taste so much better!
So, how about pureeing some olive oil, roasted garlic and basil (also from my garden!), pour over the tomatoes, and top with some crumbled goat cheese? Yum!

I'm impressed, Catherine - you're getting these already? So far all we have is the early variety 4th of July - I so agree, there's nothing like a tomato straight from the garden - YUMM!
Wow you have my mouth watering right now, a question I live in Mexico and tried to plant both tomatoes and basil quite a few times with not good results, the basil dries very fast, can you give me some tips I would really apprecciate it!!!
